We’ve been going a bit easy on campaign ads so far here at SYWBANP, mostly because they haven’t been that interesting. Sure, we covered Obama’s sort-of campaign video a while back and if Rick Perry would have stayed in the race a bit longer, we might just have written something about this bigoted piece of trash. But so far, the campaign vids have been just so-so.
Luckily for you campaign ad lovers out there, we can now honestly say that we’ve found a jewel. Rick Santorum has really outdone himself this time. The 62 seconds you are about to see are so incredibly freaking awesome in their insanity, we just don’t know where to start. Is it the Silent Hill-, George Romero-like horror style? Is it the crazy woman telling everyone to shush it? Is it the clocks on speed? The hint to Rosemary’s Baby? It might just be the fact that Obamaville in 2014 doesn’t seem to have a single black person anymore. Our favorite bit? The part where Iranian president Ahmadinejad turns into Obama and back, accompanied by the words “Sworn American enemy”. Pure gold.
